S.E. Technology has been developing tools for its own activities, some which are now available to the public:

Quickscan: a quick evaluation of a projected WIG craft to see whether it could be technically feasible.
A copy service: WIG related reports or articles that are not available anymore can be ordered at S.E. Technology. NOTE: books or papers that are still for sale are excluded from this service!
An English translation of the Russian Rules for classification and construction of small type A Ekranoplans.
WIG craft development software, such as a 2D airfoil generator and a 2D airfoil calculation tool, a demo of the airfoil generator can be used online.

Services of S.E. Technology

The main activity of S.E. Technology is consultancy related to Wing-In-Ground effect Technology. Consultancy is a very broad term and ranges from giving presentations or courses to (assisting in) writing articles or making documentaries.
S.E. Technology has a large database of WIG related material and has unique access to a large amount of knowledge related to WIG craft and ground effect in general and many contacts in this area.

Consultancy can also be given in WIG development projects, since S.E. Technology has advanced tools for the analysis of WIG performance, safety and economic viability. Hiring an (independent) expert can save a lot of money, not only for companies that want to develop a WIG craft, but also for potential operators (evaluation of a craft) and investors (evaluation of a businessplan).

Projects of S.E. Technology

S.E. Technology has been involved in several WIG craft development projects. Due to obvious reasons, details cannot be mentioned on this site, but some general information can be given:

S.E. Technology lead the development of a measurement system for prototype testing of WIG craft. The system included a GPS, a motion reference unit with linear and angular accellerometers, three radio altimeters and a PC for data collection.
S.E. Technology is involved in a development project which will soon lead to a full scale WIG prototype. Details will be published no sooner than mid 2001.
S.E. Technology is working on a businessplan for the development of a commercially viable WIG craft that is to be developed together with other companies.
